FSF Recipes – Licorice mushlylades
*mushlylades (=mushroom marmalades) :)
These marmalades are pure joy to your intestines. They are gluten- and sugar-free, all-natural, high fiber and they also lower blood sugar. In ayurveda, agar-agar is also used to assist weight loss. Agar is wonderful ingredient to replace potato or corn flours in various recipes.
- 2 tbsp Agar-agar powder
- 2-4 FSF Instant sachets depending on how strong you want the flavor of the marmalades (I liked Instant Reishi)
- 2 dl water
- (stevia if you desire sweetness)
Put FSF Instant sachets into water.
Add agar-agar and mix well until thoroughly blended. Put the liquid into a saucepan. Bring to boil and mix all the time by a wooden spoon. Lower the heat and mix until all the agar-agar is thoroughly dissolved.
Add stevia if you are using it. You can also add other spices and herbs, such as cinnamon, cardamom, chili, ginger etc. Pour the liquid to silicone moulds (preferably platinum silicone) and put it in the refrigerator to set. When the marmalades are ready, you can sprinkle them with FSF instants, licorice powder, raw chocolate powder or other superfood powders of your choice.
TIP! You can also make matcha- and spirulina marmalades the same way – just replace the FSF instants with the matcha or spirulina powders!
