Revealing the latest Four Sigma invention
Mushrooms are our thing, as you might’ve already figured out. To feast on them ourselves, to introduce our friends to the wonders of them and also to democratize their use all over the world.
Behind the scenes
Before I actually reveal the products I want to build up the excitement a bit and tell a little story. The story also partly explains why we postponed the launch of this amazing product line for so long, even though we have planned and worked on it already for almost two years.
So we started to plan for this new product line a loooooong time ago and we wanted to roll it out almost a year ago…but we simply couldn’t. We had a million problems along the way to bring this to the market. We had the design, the boxes, most of the raw materials, and even our core resellers all ready to go. But finally after long arm wrestling matches with officials regarding importation and other issues that started to build up we had to drop the project. Luckily the universe tends to find a way to respond to your affirmations one way or another.
After putting the project to the side and focusing on other things for almost a year, out of the blue the (chocolate-covered) rescue angel messaged us with a solution and voila – the product was ready a few weeks later. I just wanted to share this story to explain that making products in this industry is an unbelievably complex process and being a foodpreneur is not always as sexy as it might seem…but the feedback and support from all of you and all of our customers keep us going even through the toughest times.
Now to the point
Enter Four Sigma XOCO mushroom chocolate “shots”. An espresso-like way to consume your favorite superfoods. On top of being delicious and easy to approach, having your herbs and mushrooms with cacao makes them even more effective! Theobromine in cacao is and effective vasodilator, a compound that dilates the capillaries, allowing the other medicinal compounds to enter the bloodstream easier.

How these came to life
As I earlier (Blog post) gave you a little look into the development of our new products, this one was not the simplest case again. Over the months and months of playing around with the whole concept of putting mushrooms into a product with chocolate and coming up with something totally new and exciting for our customers, there were countless different testing and tasting sessions in different kitchens taking place in Hong Kong, New York, Hungary and Finland. But who comes up with such a crazy idea as making a “shot” of chocolate to begin with? I still remember in detail the moment when we were walking in Brooklyn, NY with our hustle-muscle and co-founder Tero when this idea was born. Let the rest be history…
